Corto Lima Brings Latin Cuisine to Downtown

ABOUT

ABOUT US

Corto Lima is a mid-scale Latin inspired restaurant specializing in a new brand of Latin cuisine with a modern interpretation. The dining room accommodates up to 45 guests for table service and a further 16 seats at the bar.

Corto Lima, under the direction of Chef Jonathan Lundy, introduces downtown Lexington diners to the cuisine of Mexico, The Caribbean, Central and South America as well as the American Southwest.

The restaurant offers the very best in mid-scale Latin inspired cuisine focusing on affordability, quality ingredients and a creative menu. Vegetarian, gluten free and vegan friendly items showcase the versatility of

Chef Lundy’s creations featuring homemade artisanal corn tortillas,

utilizing the ancient process of nixtamalization.

The beverage program, by Director of Operations/Owner TJ Cox, focuses on Tequilas, Mezcals Rums, and wines of Latin origin.

A specialty cocktail menu accompanies the base spirits and include Lexington’s best Margaritas and Latin classics.

Cheerful and warm, the interior combines weathered wood floors to create a neutral backdrop for vibrant woven textiles in earth tones and hand crafted light fixtures. Hand-made concrete tiles made in a traditional Mexican method but with a contemporary design add color and visual interest to a steel topped bar. The back bar is simply made with clean lines to highlight the spirits.

Modular Seating combinations of mid-century inspired benches and leather topped chairs as well as an upholstered banquette provides comfortable and flexible seating arrangements. Tropical and succulent plants potted in terra cotta pots lend an organic feel to the space.
